Bideford CC vs. Ivybridge CC - Saturday 16 June 2007
The second eleven made the long trip to Bideford and came away with a draw. The home side batted first and made a useful score of 200 for 4. There were wickets for Gareth Stuckey (2 for 45) and Pete Boast (2 for 63) and an excellent fielding display from the side, and in particular, youngster Josh Zimmerman, who held two catches.
Ivybridge’s top order found it hard to get the Bideford bowlers away and none of the batsmen were able to play with any real freedom. Despite that a solid effort meant the side were never in danger of losing the game, as they got to 158 for 6, with key contributions from Tony Mailling (27), Ali Winstanley (27), Andy Abraham (21 not out) and Sam Henderson (20).
